Our story
and purpose

Aubergine & Company was founded in 2014 by a first-generation American family committed to improving people’s health and energy through better eating, in a convenient, easy and sustainable way. After studying food and nutrition for years, we came up with a set of principles to guide every product and process decision we make. At Aubergine & Company, we don't believe in diets, calorie counting, trendy programs, extreme tactics, or get-slim-quick schemes; but rather, we are directed by fundamental truths that allow us to make healthy living easier, more convenient, and more enjoyable for everyone, everywhere - not just for a season but throughout your whole life.

One of our key learnings through the years is that what we eat has a direct effect on how we feel; hence, our tagline “eat better, feel different.” Our menu has been carefully designed to help people eat and drink only those things which will help them feel better – more vital, energetic, productive, balanced, healthy, and whole. Every time someone tells us that they feel like their body is thanking them after eating at our restaurant, we know that they're living the mantra, "eat better, feel different."

We are driven by principles that make it more than just food.

Delicious, Healthy Food
Eating food that tastes horrible to be healthy isn’t sustainable. Eating delicious food that isn’t healthy also isn’t sustainable (just wait, you’ll see). We believe you can do both. We create crave-worthy food that is also healthy; you’ll want to eat better and feel different.
Sweeten with Fruit First
Fruit is the best sweetener. We use fresh fruits as our main sweetener. Other natural sweeteners such as real maple syrup, raw honey, stevia, coconut sugar, and agave can be used in moderation. Refined sugars are never an option.
Focus on Nutrients, Not Calories
While diets often focus on counting calories, a better and healthier approach is to focus on nutrients. Food with lots of calories and little to no nutrients are called “empty calories”. Many foods with high perceived calorie contents have essential nutrients that we need. Nutrient-rich foods give our bodies what they need and help us to feel hungry less often.
Made From Scratch
All of our products are made daily from scratch with love every day. No cans or preservatives.
Grill or Bake, Never Fry
Fried foods contain bad fats. Saturated and processed fats (trans fatty acids) raise blood cholesterol. We don’t own a deep-fryer.
Eat Good Fats, Avoid Bad Ones
Good fats (found in avocado and olive oils, nuts, fish) are a major source of energy with a high percentage of nutrients and fatty acids, Omega 3 and Omega 6, which are essential for our survival. On the other hand, bad fats (saturated and trans fats) lead to high blood pressure, poor elimination, excess congestion, increased cholesterol, and toxicity in the body.
Alkalize Your Body
Maintaining a proper ratio between acid and alkaline foods in your diet are of extreme importance to keeping your health and having a high level of energy. Greens are a good way to start.
Eat Whole and Living Foods
They provide you with water, an essential component of our lives. They are the givers of energy and the healers of disease
